Glenturret Sherry Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky 700ml

Glenturret is widely recognized as the oldest single Highland malt distillery in Scotland. Its official establishment took place in 1775, but its roots trace back to 1717 when illicit stills were prevalent in Glenturret. After being closed in the mid 1920s, the distillery was revived in the late 1950s by Peter Fairlie, who successfully positioned The Macallan brand on an international scale. The distillery's main focus lies in producing the blended whisky Famous Grouse, which is complemented by its popular visitors center known as 'The Famous Grouse Experience'. This center attracts more than 120,000 visitors each year. Notably, the distillery was also home to Touser, a legendary cat (1963 – 1987), who was born in the still house and renowned for her exceptional mouse-catching skills. While there is some uncertainty about the exact number, Touser is said to have disposed of 28,899 mice during her lifetime. When it comes to the whisky itself, one can expect a mellow, full-bodied, and smooth experience. Typically, Glenturret whiskies have a light color and offer a harmonious blend of aged oak, sweet honey, fresh fruits, and barley.
