What's happening with Hairydog & Barrel & Batch?

Hairydog and Barrel & Batch have joined forces. Barrel & Batch is a specialist whisky platform, while Hairydog sells all categories of quality alcohol. From 1st February, these brands will become one, to be known as Barrel & Batch at barrelandbatch.com.au

Why are you merging?

Barrel & Batch has been carefully built by Ray Daniel, whose reputation and industry relationships make him one of the leading voices in whisky in Australia. Partnering with The Hairydog Group means investment to secure an even greater variety and volume of great whisky. Plus, existing Barrel & Batch customers can enjoy a single destination for all their alcohol needs under the one roof.

We’ve long felt at Hairydog that our product collection - and our customer base - is a little more sophisticated than the name ‘Hairydog’ would suggest, and we’ve been working on a rebrand for some time. We’re also excited about offering our customers access to B&B’s incredible whisky selection.

What stays the same?

Hairydog customers will find the product range and website navigation similar to what they are used to, albeit with the new branding and facelift.

Barrel & Batch customers will still enjoy access to the sought after drams that they’ve come to expect from Ray Daniel, who is joining the new-look Barrel & Batch as our Spirits Specialist.

What are the benefits?

We’ve been working hard to ensure that Barrel & Batch is a new and improved version of what’s been before! Some of the benefits you’ll enjoy will be:

Will your product range change?

We’ve removed some of the products from the Hairydog website which we didn’t feel represented the quality and interest that we want Barrel & Batch to stand for.

In addition, because of Barrel & Batch’s whisky roots, you’ll find a new and exciting line up of whisky and bourbon - exclusives, old and rare, hard-to-find, single cask, single malt - you name it, we’ll be known for it!

Will I need to create a new account or password?

Hairydog customers don’t need to do anything. Existing Barrel & Batch customers will receive an email prompting them to create a new password for the account we’ve created for them on the new website.

What happens to my gift card?

Your existing Hairydog and Barrel and Batch gift cards will still work on the new Barrel & Batch website. If you have any troubles, just let us know.

Where do I go for help?

Are there any changes to shipping?

For Barrel & Batch customers, our integration with a large dedicated pick and pack team will mean speedier service.

What payment methods do Barrel & Batch accept?

Hairydog accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, PayPal and Afterpay.

Where's my delivery? / Where's my parcel tracking number?

We deliver Australia-wide (with some restrictions) exclusively via Australia Post, who are generally fantastic but occasionally have some delays outside our control. 

Depending on your location and product selection, and which warehouse we ship from, timeframes will vary. We strive to dispatch your order in a timely fashion. In most cases, orders placed before 1pm are dispatched on the same business day, and orders post 1pm are dispatched on the next business day.      

Once you place an order, you will receive several important Barrel & Batch emails including your order confirmation. You’ll also receive an email from Australia Post once your delivery is booked with tracking information.

How are my shipping costs calculated?

We deliver Australia wide using Australia Post. Delivery timeframes and costs are calculated on checkout and vary depending upon your location. Shipping is charged per order and is displayed on checkout on the 'Confirm Your Order' page. Or to view the delivery costs for your particular area, view our Delivery Information.

Do you offer same day delivery?

We do not offer a same day delivery service due to licensing restrictions.

How soon will I receive my order?

Delivery timeframes vary depending upon your location. The estimated timeframe for your order is displayed on checkout on the 'Your Cart' page.  

Depending on where your products are coming from, you might receive more than one delivery for a single order. In this instance, your Order Processing email will advise if your order has been split.

Metro Melbourne & Sydney: 1 - 3 business days

Metro Adelaide & Brisbane:  2 - 4 business days

Metro Perth & Hobart: 4 - 7 business days

Regional: 3 - 14 days  

Only part of my order arrived.

Most Barrel & Batch orders are fulfilled from one warehouse; however, your order may be split and be fulfilled from multiple locations due to stock availability. If you have received your order and you have a missing item, your package will likely be separated into multiple shipments. Please check your email order confirmations for information regarding a split delivery. If you have any concerns relating to your order, please contact us at hello@barrelandbatch.com.au

Can I return or exchange an item?

What happens if my order is damaged in transit?

In the event you receive goods that are damaged or faulty, please refer to our Returns and Refunds policy.

Do you offer Click + Collect?

We don't offer Click + Collect as we're an online alcohol business delivering to homes nationally.
