GlenAllachie 10 Year Cask Strength Batch #7 Single Whisky 700ml

A GlenAllachie batch release is one of the most anticipated events on the whisky calendar.

Legendary Master Distiller Billy Walker personally selects each cask for a batch release and for Batch 7 he has chosen to four bespoke cask types to bring together. With 50 years under his belt as a blender we feel pretty good that he knows what he's doing.

Bringing together P/X and oloroso puncheons with a small quantity of Rioja barriques and virgin oak casks Billy has created another exceptional dram.

Non-chill filtered and bottles at natural colour Cask Strength Batch 7 is rich mahogany to the eye.

The nose gives waves of heather honey, dried fruit, cinnamon and nutmeg followed by orange peel, mocha and treacle. On the palate you get lashings of dark chocolate, figs and more heather honey with raisins, cinnamon, plums and hints of orange zest. The finish is long with lingering spices, fennel and dark chocolate.
