There is a fair intensity of fruit without too much detail. Quite full red fruit with a vanilla edge, a little bit drier behind, a touch of orange zest. The bouquet is very lovely, precise and vivid. The wine has a limpidity that is quite rare in a Clos de Vougeot, although the vineyard’s density is reasserted on the finish. This is approachable but with the heft of a Grand Cru.
