Carpano Antica Formula, first created in 1786, is an authentic Italian vermouth and one of the first ever made. It is produced by infusing white wines, sourced from Romagna, Puglia, and Sicily, with various herbs and spices—the most prominent being vanilla. It is crafted in limited quantities by Fratelli Branca Distillerie in Milan. Antica Formula is traditionally served chilled as an aperitif or used as a key ingredient in a Negroni or Manhattan.
